Education is the key to success. It serves as the means to bring about the desired change in society, to develop a generation of virtuous individuals and thus contribute to the development of good human beings.This is the main reason why I take up education.To educate myself and educate other people.For me to apply what I had learned in school.As a second parent I want to be a light that directs every student in attaining their goals in life.Even though the salary is low,Im proud that I take this course because ''teachers jobs worth is not measured on what salary they receive but measured on how many lives they touch''.You will not be rich in teaching but you will be rich in the experiences and knowledge you impart to every students.Most especially when you will see the fruit of your sacrifices to your students like they will come to you and thank because they already graduate.As the say teaching is the noblest profession.Because in teaching it needs a lot of patience,in every action you make you should first think of it.In addition it is the most respected profession beacause you cannot graduate from any course if theres no teachers.That is why whenever they ask me if whats my course im proud saying EDUCATION.
As a future teacher also my main goal is not to create my own replection,image and likeness.Meaning I wont let my students experience those experiences I pass on, most especially those negative ones.If I experienced scolded,whipped,and punished I will not use my future students to revenge on.Because I observe nowadays that teachers do this like one of my teacher in college admit it that sometimes he let her students feel those bitterness she experienced from her teachers before which is wrong.
As a teacher you will be the most influential person in the life of students and might be the person they can trust rather than their parents.This is a huge responsibility that as a future educator I must be able to handle most especially that I will handle elementary students.Because you will see children debating with their parents about what they have learned in school.They will say'this is what my teacher teach'.
Roles of a teacher is not static; it can change day to day.When you are in the field you will not only be a teacher, you will become a parent,councilor and many more.Flexibility is a must for us to be an effective and effecient teacher.For me to attain these things I must consider this characteristics of a good teacher.Mastery of the subjectmatter,understanding the learner,apply different techniques and strategies in promoting learning and to have a professional development programs to assure success of my students.For I am going to teach for others to understand.
